Apple Posts Security Update 2007-009 for Tiger and Leopard

Apple has posted Security Update 2007-009. It is recommended for all users and addresses security problems with a wide range of Mac OS X apps and services. The update applies to Mac OS X 10.4.11 and 10.5.1.

According to Apple, the security update improves the security of the following components:

  • Core Foundation
  • CUPS
  • Flash Player Plug-in
  • Launch Services
  • perl
  • python
  • Quick Look
  • ruby
  • Safari
  • Samba
  • Shockwave Plug-in
  • Spin Tracer

The update is available in System Preferences -> Software Update.
