Apple Q1 Financial Results on January 18

Apple will announce its first quarter financial results for fiscal 2006 at 2p.m. Pacific time on January 18. The audio portion of the meeting will be broadcast live via QuickTime.

During his Macworld Expo keynote on January 10, Steve Jobs announced that Apple had over 26 million visitors to Apple retail stores in 2005, and that the company sold over 14 million iPods during the holiday season. Total iPod sales for the year came in at 32 million.

Overall sales for the quarter hit US$5.7 billion, the companyis highest ever. $1 billion of that came from its retail stores.
