· by · News

Apple released Firmware version 7.1 for the AirPort Extreme Base Station with 802.11n late Monday to address several potential security issues. The update changes the default Base Station IPv6 settings to help prevent remote attacks, and fixes a problem where users could see file names on a password protected shared hard drive. Apple recommends installing AirPort Base Station Update 2007-001 before applying the firmware update. Both are available via Appleis Software Update application.

Additional information about the Firmware version 7.1 for the AirPort Extreme Base Station with 802.11n update is available at the Apple Security Updates Web site.
