Apple Releases MacBook Pro Firmware Update 1.5.1

Apple released MacBook Pro Firmware Update 1.5.1 on Monday. The release notes state the updater "fixes several issues to improve the stability of MacBook Pro computers," but donit offer any additional details.

Like other firmware updates, this one includes an installer application that must be run to complete the process even if Appleis Software Update application was used to download the updater. The updater utility, called MacBook Pro EFI Firmware Update.app, will be installed in /Applications/Utilities.

MacBook Pro Firmware Update 1.5.1 is free and available via the Software Update application, or as a downloadable installer at the Apple Support Web site.
