Apple Releases, Pulls AirPort Extreme Update 2008-003

| News

Apple released AirPort Extreme Update 2008-003 late on Tuesday, but by Wednesday morning had already pulled the update without an explanation. The update was intended to address connection issues when roaming in large Wi-Fi networks.

The 2008-003 update for Intel-based Macs running Mac OS X 10.5.5 likely didnit correct the roaming issues, and considering the short time frame that it was available, there probably arenit too many users that can test the updateis performance.

Apple is notorious for staying tight-lipped about updates, so donit expect the company to offer any kind of time frame for the rerelease of the AirPort Extreme software update.
