Apple Releases Security Update for PowerPC, Intel-based Macs

Apple released Security Update 2006-004 for PowerPC and Intel-based Macs on Tuesday. The update addresses several security-related issues, including AFP file sharing and server issues, security passkeys in the Bluetooth Setup Assistant have been increased from six characters to eight characters, multiple network related issues have been addressed, and more. A full list of security fixes included in the update is available at the Apple Web site.

This free security update is available via Software Update for Mac OS X 10.3.9, Mac OS X Server 10.3.9, Mac Os X 10.4.7, and Mac OS X Server 10.4.7.
