· by · News

Apple Computer announced the immediate availability of Shake 4.1 on Tuesday. Shake is a professional compositing and special effects application for movies and television. The updated version is a Universal Binary application capable of running natively on PowerPC and Intel-based Macs. Apple also significantly reduced the price of Shake, dropping it from US$2,999 to $499.

Cross-grades from Shake 4.0 to Shake 4.1 cost $49. The Apple Maintenance Program for Shake, however, is being discontinued. Program members can contact Apple at shake-sales@apple.com for additional information.
