Apple Reps Visit User Group For Product Demos

The Washington Apple Pi (WAP) user group will be hosting Sal Soghoian, AppleScript Product Manager, and Peter Carcione, Portable Systems Product Manager at this weekendis WAP meeting. The meeting will center around the latest and greatest with Mac OS X and all the hot news on the newest iBooks. According to WAP:

Everything you ever wanted to know about the new OS X will be explained this coming Saturday - as Apple Computer sends in some of its top product managers to appear during a general meeting of Washington Apple Pi (WAP). ?WAP is the nationis largest, and one of the oldest Apple/Macintosh Users Groups in the U-S.

Sal Soghoian, AppleScript Product Manager and Peter Carcione, Portable Systems Product Manager will not only discuss the latest on OS 9 and OS X, but will also demo the newest iBook announced at MacWorld-Paris. Both men actually worked with Apple engineers to bring these products to market.

Prior to joining Apple in 1997, ?Sal ?was a well-established script solutions consultant and author of three books and numerous articles addressing automation in the publishing industry.

Peter joined Apple earlier this year after spending 6 years in the PC industry working for Fujitsu Personal Systems, Fujitsu PC and Everex Systems.

The General Meeting of Washington Apple Pi will be held Saturday, October 21st at the Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale Campus. The address is 8300 Little River Turnpike in Annandale. The meeting begins at 9am and continues until noon. All are welcome to attend - you do not need to be a WAP member and there is no entry fee.

NOTE: Not only will there be great demos of the latest Apple Products, but there will be a raffle for lots of great prizes too.
