Apple Snares Five Spots in PC World's 100 Best Products of 2005

MacCentral reported Friday morning that Apple placed five products in PC Worldis list of 100 Best Products of 2005. Mac OS X v10.4 "Tiger" scored the highest, in third place, while iTunes settled into the 34th slot, the Mac mini was number 75, the iPod photo snared 78th and the iTunes Music Store came in at number 86. Mozilla Firefox was Product of the Year.

Writing about Tiger, the PC World editors acknowledged: "Mac fans are already enjoying the cool features that Windows wonit deliver until late 2006." But it wasnit all rah-rah for Apple, however. While they liked the iTunes Music Store enough to place it on the list, PC Worldis editors said: "Weid like to see a higher bit rate for downloads, as well as a subscription service."
