Apple & Sorenson Settle Suit Over Video Codec

A pple and Sorenson have announced that the two companies have settled a lawsuit over the Spark Codec. The Spark Codec is used by Apple in QuickTime, and Apple had sued the company over alleged exclusivity rights. Sorenson had counter-sued Apple for breach of contract and fraud relating to the same issue. A terse press release jointly issued by both Sorenson and Apple announced that the suit has been settled, but didnit include the terms of the settlement, or any other details. That press release:

Apple® and Sorenson Media, Inc. today announced the settlement of a pending federal court lawsuit that had been brought by Apple in April, 2002. The settlement provides for the dismissal of all claims and counterclaims.
