Appleis stock climbed noticeably after the announcement of Boot Camp, which lets you install and boot Windows XP on an Intel-based Mac. Apple released the public beta software Wednesday morning, and the companyis stock started to rise almost as soon as the announcement was made.
Boot Camp will be a feature in the next version of Mac OS X, Leopard, which should be available some time between near the end of 2006.
Apple stock is currently trading at US$64.66, up 3.49 (5.51%).
