Apple Store Planned for Australia

Apple Inc. has plans for expanding its retail presence into Australia with one store in Sydney, and possibly a second in Melbourne. The Sydney Morning Herald reports that Apple has already submitted plans and is awaiting approval.

Apple spokesperson John Marx commented "We have submitted concepts for the store weid like to build in Sydney and are working with the city to gain their approval."

According to according to Smarthouse, a second store in Melbourne is also in the works. Although official details have not yet been released, both are expected to be multi-level and sport metal and glass architecture features like the New York and San Francisco flagship stores.
