Apple Tells Wall Street Journal That OS X Adoption Is Proceeding As Expected

The Wall Street Journal has published a short piece that quotes Apple VP Phil Schiller as saying that Mac OS X adoption was proceeding according to plan. From the Wall Street Journal:

Apple Computer Inc.is new operating system, Mac OS X, has been adopted by the public at a rate that the company "expected and hoped," Phil Schiller, the Cupertino, Calif. computer makeris vice president of world-wide product marketing, said Tuesday. Mr. Schiller declined to say specifically how many users of Mac OS X there currently are, citing the quiet period before the companyis earnings in mid-October.
