Apple Updates Security Update 2007-009 for Safari Bug

· by · News

Apple released Security Update 2007-009 1.1 just before the holiday break to address Safari stability issues introduced in the original update from December 17. Many Tiger and Leopard users found that Safari 3 consistently crashed when accessing certain Web sites after installing Security Update 2007-009.

Like the original version of the security update, version 1.1 address potential flaws in Core Foundation, CUPS printing, the Flash Player and Shockwave plug-ins, Quick Look, and more. It also includes corrected code that avoids the Safari 3 crash bug introduced in the first version of the update.

Security Update 2007-009 1.1 is available via Appleis Software Update application, or as a downloadable installer at the Apple Support Web site. The update is available for Mac OS X 10.4.11 in PowerPC-only and Universal Binary versions, and also for Mac OS X 10.5.1.
