Apple and Volkswagen Discuss an iCar

· by · News

Apple CEO Steve Jobs and Volkswagenis chief Martin Winterkorn met recently in California to discuss possibilities for an "iCar" that feature products made by Apple, according to the Associated Press in Berlin on Thursday. Nothing concrete has developed so far.

A spokerperson for VW, Hans-Gerd Bode, said that there were "scores of ideas" discussed, but few concrete plans.

A German magazine thinks that a compact car with integrated Apple products would be of interest to younger customers. VW already has in-car hook-up options for the iPod.

Mr. Jobs chats with lots of companies about lots of ideas. While nothing official was mentioned by VW, the story does confirm that Apple continues to be aggressive in looking for business opportunities related to its personal technology products.
