Apple to Broadcast Q1 Earnings on Jan 22

Apple will be hosting its regular first quarter earnings report live on the Web 5 PM EST on January 22. The audio report will require Appleis free QuickTime player.

Many analysts are expecting Apple to report another blockbuster quarter with strong Mac and iPhone sales. Apple helped drive home that idea on Tuesday when CEO Steve Jobs revealed the company has already sold over four million of its combination iPod and smart phone.

Banc of America analyst Scott Craig expects the Cupertino companyis sales will show a healthy gain thanks in part to the release of Mac OS X 10.5 and higher Mac sales. He estimated that Apple will report US$9.6 billion in revenue with an EPS of $1.60.
