Apple to Demo Leopard at WWDC

Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, will be on hand at the World Wide Developer Conference 2006 (WWDC) keynote to preview Mac OS X 10.5, or Leopard. Philip Schiller, senior vice president of Worldwide Product Marketing Bertrand Serlet, senior vice president of Software Engineering, and Scott Forstall, vice president of Platform Experience will also be at the event. The company has not announced an official launch date for the next version of Mac OS X, but a preview at the WWDC makes a Macworld Expo 2007 release more likely.

WWDC runs from August 7 through August 11 in San Francisco. Macworld Expo 2007 runs from January 8 through January 12 at the Moscone Center in San Francisco. Both events typically see new product announcements from Apple.
