Apple to Open Second Tokyo Apple Store Saturday

Apple Computer announced Wednesday that it will open its second Apple Store retail location in Tokyo on Saturday, August 6th, The two-story store is in the Shibuya district, and will open at 10:00 AM on Saturday. It joins the Ginza store in Tokyo, and two more stores located in Osaka and Nagoya.

"Shibuyais vibrant shopping district is the perfect setting for an Apple retail store," said Ron Johnson, Appleis senior vice president of Retail. "Weire thrilled to open our second store in Tokyo, where the Apple Store Ginza has been an incredible hit with customers."

Apple will be hosting live concerts at each of its four Japanese retail stores throughout the next week, including DefTouch, Zazen Boys, and Straightener at the Shibuya store. You can find a full schedule of events at the Shibuya storeis Web site.
