Apple to Open Three New Stores on Saturday

Apple is planning three new store openings for Saturday, July 31 in Illinois, Michigan, and Massachusetts. The Orland Square store in Orland Square, Illinois will open at 9AM, while the Briarwood store in Ann Arbor Michigan, and the Holyoke store in Holyoke, Massachusetts will both open at 10AM. All will sport the usual amenities including a Genius Bar and One to One shopping.

Apple is planning a week long series of events to celebrate the Grand Openings, free training events and free prizes including T-shirts for the first 1000 visitors. One lucky winner will walk away from each opening with the grand prize valued at US$2,224.95 that includes a black 13-inch 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook, a one-year One to One membership, an iPod nano, iWork, a one-year membership to .Mac, and an AppleCare Protection Plan for MacBook. Ten First Prize winners each will receive a one-year One to One membership.
