Apple to Open UK Buchanan Street Store Saturday

The United Kingdom will have another Apple Store when the Buchanan Street store in Glasgow officially opens at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 25. The Buchanan Street store will sport the usual amenities including a Genius Bar and One to One shopping.

Apple is planning a week long series of events to celebrate the Grand Opening, free training events and free prizes including T-shirts for the first 1,500 visitors. One lucky winner will walk away with the grand prize which includes a black 13-inch 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo MacBook, a one-year One to One membership, an 4GB silver iPod nano, iWork i08, a one-year .Mac membership, and an AppleCare Protection Plan for their MacBook. Ten First Prize winners each will receive a one-year One to One membership.
