Apple is opening its twelfth U.K. store at the Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex on Saturday, October 20. The Lakeside Shopping Centre will open at 9AM and will sport the usual amenities including a Genius Bar and One to One shopping.
Apple is planning a week long series of events to celebrate the Grand Opening, free training events and free prizes including T-shirts for the first 1000 visitors. One lucky winner will walk away with a Digital Lifestyle grand prize that includes a black 13-inch 2.16GHz Intel Core Duo MacBook, a one-year One to One membership, a silver 4GB iPod nano, iWork i08, a one-year membership to .Mac, and an AppleCare Protection Plan for MacBook. Ten First Prize winners each will receive a one-year One to One membership.
