Aspyr Media on Tuesday announced that next month it will ship Call of Duty Deluxe, which includes the original World War II first-person shooter Call of Duty as well as the Call of Duty: United Offensive expansion pack. The original game takes players through some well-known battles of World War II -- including D-Day, the Russian charge at Stalingrad and the Battle of Berlin -- as seen through the eyes of American, British and Russian soldiers.
United Offensive adds 13 new single-player missions as well as 11 multi-player maps and three new gameplay modes. New weapons include flamethrowers and deployable machine guns, and players can now man tanks, jeeps, motorcycles and a B-17 bomber. Players once again take the roles of Allied soldiers as they fight in the Battle of the Bulge, the Battle of Kursk and other famous battles.
Aspyr said that Call of Duty Deluxe will be available soon for pre-order from its Web site. Pricing was not provided. System requirements call for Mac OS X v10.2.8, an 867MHz G4 processor, 256MB RAM, 1.4GB free hard drive space, 32MB Video RAM (Radeon 7500 or GeForce2 MX or better) and a DVD drive.
