Attention Students: Apple Offers Student Scholarships For WWDC

A pple has unveiled a scholarship program for the World Wide Developer Conference (WWDC) designed to help get student developers out to the conference. The scholarships are open to ADC Student Members, and include a ticket to the WWDC, as well as what Apple describes as a "full day of exclusive student activities." The ADC is the Apple Developer Connection, and student memberships to the ADC are priced at US$99.

The Apple Developer Connection is offering ADC Student Members scholarships to attend this yearis Worldwide Developer Conference in San Jose, California, May 18-23, 2003. Winners of a student scholarship receive a free student e-Ticket to the conference. To put that in perspective, the regular attendee price is a cool US $1,595. Scholarship winners attend a full day of exclusive student activities on Sunday, May 18, resulting in six days stuffed full of Mac OS X technical information.

How do I Apply?
You can apply for a scholarship online , right now. Be sure to have a PDF version of your resume on hand, because youill need to upload it as part of the scholarship application. All applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM Pacific time, Friday, February 28, 2003. The Apple Developer Connection will announce scholarship winners on March 10, 2003.

To be eligible for a scholarship to WWDC 2003, you must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college or university, have a student identification number, and be at least 18 years of age.

Once your application has been submitted, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail with instructions for submitting your student verification information. We will request that you send verification of identity (government or school issued photo ID) and a current course schedule. This information will be used to confirm active student status only. Your application will not be considered unless your student status is verified.

Please note you will be required to present government issued photo ID when you arrive at registration at WWDC.
