There are lots of great articles, and some really bad ones, on the Internet. Though we link to all of them at MacOS News Around The Web, some of them deserve special mention here. Most of what we will mention within these pages will be among the best, but on occasion we will talk about articles that are so bad or so wrong we just have to say something. Consider them mini-editorials on our part about things we think you might also be interested in.

Yes, the Xbox is coming. So is Nintendois Dolp...err, Gamecube, Playstation 2, and who knows what others, but the Xbox is the X factor in all this. Is there any reason why you would want to buy and Xbox? Is there any reason you wouldnit, seems to be a more reasonable question. This article talk about the coming of the Xbox, and what we have to be thankful for. Our favorite quote from this piece (warning: an explicative some may find offensive is included):

All I wanted to do was install and run Everquest, by no means the most technically demanding game on the market. And even while my PC easily met the minimum stated hardware requirements, the game simply refused to run. After the log-in screen, it would tantalizingly begin to load but, at the last minute, blink the Wintel equivalent of "Fuck you, pal" and unceremoniously crash back to the desktop.

Best [3:30 PM] Web Page Design For Designers - You canit design Web pages on a Mac!
After doing a far share of VERY amature web design, I had often come to the conclusion that you indeed can not do good web design on a Mac. Sure, the tools are great, and your site may look MARVELOUS sitting there on your screen, but throw it out there for the PC using world to see, and you have major problems. This article essentially urges me to relax, it is going to be OK. Our favorite quote from the article:

So, the next time someone tells you that you canit use a Mac to design Web pages, just smile and point out that where it may be more difficult to make dovetail joints than to use nails - it can be infinitely more rewarding.
