Bare Bones Software today announced the immediate availability of Super Get Info 1.1. Super Get Info is a file and folder information utility for Mac OS X, offering a powerful, flexible, user-friendly alternative to the "Get Info" command provided by the Mac OS X Finder.

Now in version 1.1, users can invoke Super Get Info from within any application that supports Mac OS X Services. Users can now also "add" and "remove" permissions using an improved interface designed for more flexible application of recursive permissions to files and folders. Several other minor enhancements, including a new integrated user manual, plus fixes for reported issues are included in version 1.1.

Super Get Info is a file and folder information utility for Mac OS X, offering a powerful, flexible, user-friendly alternative to the "Get Info" command provided by the Mac OS X Finder. Using an easily navigable tabbed interface, or the isgii command-line tool, the user can open a separate information window for each selected Finder item, so that multiple selected items can be viewed and edited discretely. It also allows the user to view and edit the Mac OS type and creator codes for a given file; view and edit the Unix owner, group, and permission settings for any file or folder; and change a fileis creation and modification dates.
