Bare Bones Updates Mailsmith With Server-Side Filtering

Bare Bones Software has released an update for Mailsmith, bringing it to version 2.1.2. Mailsmith is an email client designed for Mac users. The update features server-side spam filtering and Unix based tool processing. According to Bare Bones Software:

Mailsmith 2.1.2 now includes support for server-side spam filtering, a new option to process incoming messages with any Unix tool during the download process, plus several new preferences and interface enhancements.

Mailsmith now supports server-side spam filtering, with an option to honor the canonical spam-classification headers used by SpamAssassin, BogoFilter, and other server-side anti-spam tools. With version 2.1.2, Mailsmith users can now integrate any Unix script or executable into the downloading process; each downloaded message is processed by the Unix tool before being processed by Mailsmithis built-in SpamSieve integration and advanced filtering system.
