Bento 2 Adds Mail, Spreadsheet Support

FileMaker announced the immediate availability of Bento 2 on Tuesday. The new version of the personal database application added the ability to link to Mail messages, and added the ability to import data from Excel and Numbers.

Version 2 added the ability to link email messages from Mail along with RSS feeds to contacts, events, projects, and other record types. It also gained the ability to export data to spreadsheet formats, modify forms without changing viewing modes, view and edit data in split-screen mode, link to Google maps, added several new database themes, and more.

Bento 2 is priced at US$49 and requires Mac OS X 10.5.4 or higher.
