Bethesda, MD Mini Apple Store to Open Next Week

· by Brad Gibson · News

Apple Computer will open a mini retail store in Bethesda, Maryland next Saturday, December 11, the company has officially announced.

The new store is located at 4829 Bethesda Avenue, next to Cameronis Seafood Restaurant. It is also just a block from independent Apple dealer MacUpgrades, which has felt the brunt of much of Appleis retail expansion over the years. MacUpgrades is the closest independent Mac reseller to Appleis first retail store which opened in McLean, Virginia in May of 2001.

The first 500 people to visit the new store on December 11 will receive a free AppleT-shirt, the company said.

Apple debuted it smaller store concept in mid-October with the opening of six iminii retail stores. The all-new design features stainless steel walls and seamless white floors and ceilings. The mini store is half the size of Apple?s smallest retail store.
