Big Nerd Ranch to Hold Mixed Networks Boot Camp in Dec.

Big Nerd Ranch has announced that it will hold a Mixed Networks Boot Camp Dec. 12 to 16 in Atlanta. In a statement, the company said that the course "provides network administrators with the skills necessary to master networked environments that incorporate systems across a number of platforms."

Subject areas to be covered during the intensive course include file sharing protocols on the Mac, Unix and Windows platforms, SSH tunneling, GUI and text-based logins, database access via ODBC for MySQL, PostgreSQL and MSSQL, system monitoring and logging and more.

The US$3,500 cost for the class lodging, all meals, original instruction materials, 24-hour lab access, and transportation to and from the Atlanta airport. Big Nerd Ranch encourages students to bring independent projects to class.
