· by Mike Washlesky · News

The Blue Technologies Group has released an update for Ulysses, bringing it to version 1.0.1. Ulysses is a utility designed for creative writers needing a text editing application. The update adds new features including word counting. According to The Blue Technology Group:

The Blue Technologies Group is pleased to announce the release of Ulysses 1.0.1, a Mac OS X text editor aimed directly at creative writers.

Ulysses lets the writer focus entirely on content while aiding him in organizing the multiple parts of his work without forcing him into any pre-defined structure whatsoever. Developed exclusively for creative writers, Ulysses lacks both the functional overload of traditional word processors and the developers-oriented approach of classic text editors.

Ulysses 1.0.1 adds features requested by our users, fixes some issues with the interface and improves the application’s responsiveness and stability in various areas.

New features:

  • Added word count
  • Added option to have the statistics field update dynamically
  • The windowis close button now sports a black dot if the project is in an unsaved state

You can find more information about the Ulysses update at The Blue Technologies Group Web site. Ulysses 1.0.1 is free for registered users, while the full version is currently available for UK£60.00.
