Canto Software announced the immediate availability of BrandAssistant, a digital asset management system for QuarkXPress 7, on Thursday. BrandAssistant is based on Cumulus 7 Workgroup, and offers asset version control along with the ability to access and place any file format supported by QuarkXPress 7 from inside the application. Outside of QuarkXPress 7, users can use the BrandAssistant client application to catalog assets, edit metadata, and manage asset permissions.
It also supports Web-based asset viewing and review, and supports popular browsers including Firefox, Internet Explorer, Opera and Safari. BrandAssistant is priced at ?5,995 or US$5,995.
