Brother Intros New Monochrome Laser Printers

Brother International Corp. launched Monday two, Mac-compatible laser printers starting at US$150.00.

The HL-2040 at $150 and the HL-2070N at $230 offer speeds of 20pages per minute, up to 2400 x 600 dots per inch resolution, a 250-sheet input paper capacity, and USB 2.0 connectivity.

The HL-2040 is the successor to the HL-1440 personal laser printer and has a 40% smaller footprint. It also features a two-tone gray color scheme as well as 8 megabytes of memory capacity The HL-2070N features the same small footprint and a built-in Ethernet print server, adds PCL 6 emulation, a built-in Ethernet network interface, and 16MB of standard memory.

The HL-2040 will be available starting in later this month. The HL-2070N will be available in February.
