Buffalo Debuts Series of USB 2.0 Hard Drives

Buffalo Technology on Monday introduced DriveStation, a new series of Serial ATA (SATA) hard drives with USB 2.0 connectivity and storage capacities ranging from 160GB to 500GB. The drives feature 7200RPM speeds, Secure Lock Ware technology that encrypts data, fanless cooling, and the ability to power it on or off from a computer, as well as schedule shutdowns.

The new drives are available immediately. Pricing is US$159 for the 160GB model, $199 for the 250GB model, $249 for the 300GB model, $349 for the 400GB model, and $449 for the 500GB model.
