CD Mastering Utility To Be Released At Macworld

Charismac Engineering will be unveiling a new CD utility at next months Macworld. Discribe 5.0 is a CD mastering utility designed to support DVD authoring and CDis in most formats. The app will ship OS X ready and supports several recording devices including Firewire. According to Charismac Engineering:

Charismac Engineering will release Discribe v5.0 at next monthis Macworld Expo held in San Francisco from January 7-11, 2002. Discribe v5.0 will include a host of new features including DVD mastering support as well as full native Macintosh OS X support.

Discribe, an industry proven, universal CD mastering utility for the Macintosh, boasts support for over 250 CD-R, CD-RW, DVD-R, DVD-RW and DVD+RW mechanisms and supports the creation of CDs in most all popular formats including: CD Extra, Hybrid, ISO-9660 and both track-at-once and disc-at-once audio. Discribe supports ATAPI, SCSI, Firewire (1394) and USB recorders.

Discribe fully supports the mastering of MP 3 files to CD and includes AudioScribe, a direct-to-disk recording utility that lets you record vinyl, voice or tape to hard disk in AIFF format. These files can then be mastered to CD using Discribe.
