Captain FTP 5.0 Adds WebDAV, Growl Support

Xnet Communications announced the immediate availability of Captain FTP 5.0 on Wednesday. The new version of the FTP file transfer application added support for transferring files with the WebDAV protocol along with Growl-based notifications.

The update also gained the ability to compress files and folders before uploading, use private keys with SFTP, decrypt zip archives, display files in a preview drawer, and duplicate files and folders. Several bugs and stability issues have been addressed as well.

Captain FTP 5.0 is available for download at the Xnet Communications Web site, and is priced starting at US$25.
