CardRaider Recovers Deleted Photos from Digital Cameras

Ecamm Network announced the the release of CardRaider 1.0 on Monday. CardRaider is an application designed to recover accidentally deleted photos from digital cameras.

According the Ecammis network engineer, "When you erase photos on your camera, it doesnit actually erase them.... Instead, the camera just forgets where pictures are located on the memory card." CardRaider works by scanning the camerais memory card and recovering pictures that were "deleted", that is, marked to be overwritten.

Features include a one-click scan and recover, an option to send recovered photos to iPhoto, and use with damaged or reformatted memory cards.

A free demo is available. CardRaider works with any Mac and Mac OS X 10.3.9 or later. It is priced at US$14.95.
