CheckUp 1.2 Features Updated UI, Lower Price

· by · News

app4mac announced the immediate availability of CheckUp 1.2 on Friday. The new version features an updated user interface, a much lower price and more.

New in version 1.2:

  1. New Wifi-Network detector with signal level
  2. Updated user interface
  3. Bug fixes
  4. English, French, Chinese, Italian versions
  5. Lower price (now $29 for two computers instead of $49)

CheckUp is designed to monitor the usage of CPU, memory, disk drives and network adapters. The user can display detailed information about all running processes and pause or terminate these at any time.

CheckUp can create an alert when a certain resource exceeds a certain value or when a hard drive seems to have hardware failures, even when the application is not opened -- thanks to an innovative background process and the use of S.M.A.R.T technology.

CheckUp will work with any Mac with a PowerPC G4, G5 or Intel Processor.

CheckUp 1.2 requires OS X Tiger or later and is priced at US$29 for a two computer license.
