The Chimera Project settled on a new name for its open-source browser: Camino. As we recently reported, the project began its search for a new name after leaning it could not legally call itself "Chimera."
The new Camino Project site briefly explains:
03 March 2003 : Due to circumstances beyond our control, the project has been renamed Camino.
The old Chimera Project page now redirects users to The Camino Project. So far, no builds of the browser have been released under the new name.
On a side note, the new Camino site addresses rumors that tabbed browsing would disappear from the browser. Any such rumors are untrue, according to the project.
