· by Brad Gibson · News

Apple Computer and Universal Music are selling more than 1,000 Chinese-language pop music tracks via the iTunes Music Store for the first time in North America and Europe, according to a report Monday in the The Financial Times.

Chinese artists being featured via iTMS in all of its 15 markets and licensed to Universal include Jacky Cheung, Kelly Chen, Hacken Lee and Alan Tam.

"The launch, to coincide with the Chinese lunar new year tomorrow, is aimed especially at the big overseas Chinese population, which has been able to access the music in physical form only through a limited number of specialist retailers," the report said.
