Sig Software has released an update for Classic Menu, bringing it to version 2.6.1. Classic Menu is designed to bring Classic OS menu items to the OS X platform. The update features OS 10.2 and Japanese support. According to Sig Software:

Sig Software is pleased to announce the release of Classic Menu 2.6.1, which introduces compatibility with Mac OS X 10.2 Jaguar.

Winner of a MacFixit Toolbox Award in 2000, Classic Menu brings the classic Mac OS apple menu back to Mac OS X, replacing the systemis built-in apple menu (but keeping it within easy reach).

Like the traditional OS 9 apple menu, it displays the icons and names of files and folders in the Classic Menu Items folder and allows up to 5 levels of hierarchical menus for folder contents.

Aside from OS X 10.2 compatibility, version 2.6.1 also adds a Japanese translation.

You can find more information about the Classic Menu update at the Sig software Web site. Classic Menu 2.6.1 is available for US$10.00.
