ComChart and MacPractice Now Interoperate

ComChart Medical Software and MacPractice announced on Monday a new interface that allows the two software packages to interoperate.

Physician offices will find a new link in MacPractice MD that will transport them immediately to the patientis chart in ComChart EMR. The feature will assist offices who want to be 100% paperless.

"The MacPractice-ComChart Interface requires ComChart EMR v9.2z7 (a free update for ComChart users) and the purchase of a the MacPractice EMR Interface Ability from MacPractice for $500 plus a $200 annual support and updates fee. The MacPractice EMR Interface Ability is free for new purchasers of MacPractice until 6/15/07," the announcment said.

?We are very excited to be working closely together with ComChart to deliver a premier integrated solution to physicians who prefer to use a Mac,? said Mark Hollis, President of MacPractice, Inc.

Previously, MacPractice announced a new client-server version 3 of its medical practice series of Mac OS X software to be released in 2007.
