Computeractive: 24-inch iMac Gets 4 Out of 5 Stars

· by · News

Computeractive recently reviewed Appleis new 24-inch Core 2 Duo iMac and called it "a no-holds-barred, everything-including-the-kitchen-sink effort from Apple." Appleis efforts earned the 24-inch iMac a four out of five star rating.

Cliff Joseph, reviewing the iMac for Computeractive, praises Apple for including a 250GB hard drive, a Gigabyte of memory, digital audio inputs and outputs, and a SuperDrive. He also notes that the GeForce 7300 GT graphics card makes it a decent gaming computer, and that it comes with a nice bundle of software, too.

Mr. Joseph did point out the "hefty" US$1,999 price, and said that the iMac seems fairly expensive. He added "Even so, thatis not a bad price for a top-of-the-range computer, especially when you take into account the sheer size of the screen. Itis expensive and over the top, but just for once we donit think Apple is taking liberties with the pricing."
