ConceptDraw Updated, Offers Improved OS X Performance

CS Odessa has updated their popular flowchart and diagraming tool, ConceptDraw, to version 1.6. Containing no true feature changes, version 1.6 offers a number of improvements for running the program under Mac OS X. According to CS Odessa:

Computer Systems Odessa, Corp. announces the release of ConceptDraw 1.6 for Macintosh, Windows and Mac OS X - a new version of the powerful flowcharting and diagramming software package.

ConceptDraw v1.6 for Macintosh is a Carbonized application, which runs natively on Mac OS X and takes full advantage of the powerful possibilities in Mac OS X, including the Aqua look and feel, enhanced memory management, multitasking and other benefits of any native Mac OS X application.

Along with the Carbonized version of ConceptDraw 1.6, which requires Mac OS 8.5 or higher, thereis a "Classic" version of ConceptDraw 1.6, specially for users of older operating systems (starting from Mac OS 8.1).

ConceptDraw 1.6 doesnit add new functionality with respect to v1.59. However, under OS X users will notice considerable performance improvements for some memory-consuming tasks, especially when opening large documents - thanks to optimized memory management.

Also, v1.6 fixes some bugs discovered in earlier versions.

ConceptDraw is available for US$119. You can find more information at the ConceptDraw Web site.
