W e received several inquiries from people wanting to know when they would get Panther if they pre-ordered it. Panther was announced today, with availability on the evening of Friday, October 24th. Pre-orders are available now through the Apple Store, and the question for some was wether or not they would get it the 24th if they pre-ordered it. We checked with Apple, and an Apple spokesperson told us that pre-orders for Panther would be delivered on Saturday, October 25th.
We were also reminded that Panther will be available on Friday evening from Apple VARs, and not just the Apple Store retail locations.
Panther is priced at US$129, and can be pre-ordered through Appleis online Apple Store.
