Connectix Updates Virtual PC Test Drive For Mac OS X

Connectix has released an update for Virtual PC Test Drive For Mac OS X. The new version, 4.0.6, includes bug fixes and speed improvements. From Connectix:

The Connectix Virtual PC Test Drive for Mac OS X is a technology demonstration designed to provide Virtual PC 4 users with a preview of Virtual PC in OS X to aid with their migration to Appleis exciting new operating system. Virtual PC 4 users may download the Test Drive version of the product free of charge. The Test Drive will expire on January 31, 2002.

  • Added fix to increase performance with Windows 2000. This should dramatically speed up boot time and overall performance of Windows 2000, NT and XP Virtual Machines running in the Test Drive.
  • Fixed an issue with PPP connections causing crashes when launching the Test Drive.
  • Fixed a problem that caused the Test Drive to crash when VMis were set to use Unique IP under Virtual PC 4.0.2 in OS 9.1 and then booted in the Test Drive.
