app4mac announced the immediate availability of CutX 4.0 on Monday. The new version of the Internet content blocking plug-in for Safari added the ability to access rules lists from remote servers.

CutX 4.0 also added a new content filtering engine, the ability to block a list of Web sites, updated the user interface, and fixed several bugs. It is not yet compatible with Safari 3 beta, but will be updated once Safari 3 officially ships.

CutX 4.0 is priced at US$29, and is available for download at the app4mac Web site.
