DEVONagent 2.0 Beta 2 Released

DEVONtechnologies has released the second public Beta of its intelligent Internet search assistant DEVONagent 2.0, with the final version scheduled for publication at the end of March. According to the developer, the upgradeis features are now 99.9% complete and it is now focusing on fixing bugs and finalizing the documentation.

Among the changes made to this version from the Beta shown at Macworld are the inclusion of an "Add New Tab" button and in-tab information to tabbed browsing, the ability to clone and modify search sets, new AppleScripts that add search results as a sheet in the information manager and the completion of the integrated online help.

This Beta expires at the end of March. It requires Mac OS X v10.3.9 or v10.4 and will sell for US$49.95 after that date, with upgrades from previous versions available for $19.95. The first version of DEVONagent is still available for $35; anyone who buys it between now and the release of version 2.0 can upgrade to the new edition for free.
