DEVONtech Updates DEVONthink With Quicktime Support

· by Mike Washlesky · News

DEVONtechnologies has released an update for DEVONthink , bringing it to version 1.7.5. DEVONthink is a personal data management tool designed for organizing data, ranging from pictures to source codes. The update features several enhancements including Quicktime support. According to DEVONtechnologies:

DEVONtechnologies updates DEVONthink to version 1.7.5.

Good news for movie and music lovers: DEVONthink 1.7.5 now natively plays Quicktime movies, MP3/MP4s and sound files directly from within the application. This makes DEVONthink not only a simple freeform database, notepad, outliner and information manager, but also a personal media centre.

Additionally, two new Services menu commands append selected text to the last note taken, a new AppleScript example script imports e-mail from Microsoft Entourage to the DEVONthink database and the column view now also displays outline checkboxes and comments.

The tooltips have been extended, new contextual menu commands added and plug-ins (e.g. Quicktime or Flash) enabled in HTML views. DEVONthink 1.7.5 also directly takes bookmarks from Safari via drag-and-drop and and is even easier to use.

You can find more information about the DEVONthink update at the DEVONtechnologies Web site. DEVONthink 1.7.5 is free for registered users, while the full version is available for US$35.00.
