Default Folder X Updated Improves Hotkey Support

St. Clair Software has released an update for Default Folder X, bringing it to 1.8. Default Folder X is a Open and Save dialog enhancement designed for improved Finder control. The latest update features improved hotkey support and option-click copying. According to St. Clair Software:

Further improving its EddyAward-winning utility for enhancing Open and Save dialogs, St. Clair Software today released version 1.8 of Default Folder X.

Default Folder X 1.8 answers OS X usersi pleas for the return of a popular feature that graced the Mac OS 9 version of Default Folder: Instead of typing the name for a new file in a Save dialog, you can now option-click on the name of an existing file to copy it.

Default Folder X 1.8 also delivers numerous other improvements including system-wide hotkeys for opening Favorite folders, the ability to set a single default folder for all applications, increased performance and stability, user interface enhancements and more.
