Developer News: Apple Releases Tiger Early Start Kit

Apple has released the "Tiger Early Start Kit," a get started now solution for developers interested in kick starting their Tiger development efforts. Tiger is the name of Appleis next major Mac OS X upgrade, 10.4, which is expected to be released in the first half of 2005. The company has been promoting what it calls 150 new features, including many new technologies for developers to tap into.

The kit includes a year-long Apple Developer Connection Select membership, advanced builds of Tiger and Xcode 2.0, one-on-one engineering consultation for Tiger-ready apps, and Appleis developer discount on new Apple hardware.

The kit also includes a Tiger training DVD that includes all the sessions pertaining to Tiger from Appleis World Wide Developer Conference 2004. Apple says the DVD "contains hours of detailed engineering instruction, along with presentation slides and sample code, on essential Tiger development topics."
